How do I join the LVPHO?
You must be a member in good standing of the medical staff of Lehigh Valley Hospital. If you are a primary care physician, any type of status affiliation is permitted. Specialist physicians must have "provisional active" or "active" status. You must also join the Greater Lehigh Valley Independent Practice Association.

Why become a member of the LVPHO?
As a member of the LVPHO you are automatically participating in Valley Preferred, the provider-sponsored PPO network owned by the LVPHO. Valley Preferred provides provider access to more than 192,000 covered lives.

You may also wish to participate in Choice Plus, which is the employee health plan of the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN).

Practices may also access discounts through the Preferred Vendor Program.

We've had a staff change. Can a Provider Relations Representative come to our office and explain these plans?
Provider Relations Representatives provide on-site orientation and re-orientations. You can reach our office Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. There is always someone there to assist you.

Is Choice Plus sold to other companies?
No. Choice Plus is exclusively for employees of the LVHN.

Who accesses the Valley Preferred Network?
Self-funded (businesses that pay their own claims) and fully insured companies access the provider network.
